The TOURIST DIGITAL FMM intends to facilitate and expedite your entry to Mexico!
If you enter Mexico by air, you will no longer have to fill out the Multiple Electronic Migration Form (FMMe) or the Multiple Migration Form on paper. Instead, the INM National Institute of Immigration Agents will scan your passport and give you an entry stamp indicating the time allowed to stay in the country.
The INM Immigration Agent will generate the digital FMM FORM online, which you can download afterward by logging in to this website; you must create an account and have sixty days to download it.
The DIGITAL FMM for CANJE is required when you obtain a Temporary or Permanent Resident Visa at the Mexican Consulate. After the visa is affixed to your passport, the next step is to verify it at the Airport. Upon arrival to Mexico, the INM Immigration agent will verify your visa, scan your passport, and give you an entry stamp. Then, he will write by hand for 30 days and Canje. After this, you can create an account on the INM Immigration website to download the digital FMM, like the sample above. Then, you must go to the corresponding INM Immigration office, where you will reside within 30 days, and apply for the Temporary or Permanent Resident Card. Otherwise, the visa will be voided.
MAKE SURE NEXT TO THE STAMP, THE INM AGENT WRITES CANJE AND 30 DAYS.

Is it mandatory to print the FMM FORM online? No, but it is very convenient to expedite entry to Mexico.
What happens if I make an error when I generate the FMM FORM online? Nothing. Just point it out to the INM agent at the airport, and you will be given another FMM FORM to complete by hand. ONLINE FMM FORM
